Moluscos gasterópodos holoplanctónicos en el mar peruano recolectados entre 1994 y 2005

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es contribuir al conocimiento de la biodiversidad de moluscos holoplanctónicos en el mar peruano. El material proviene de 5.963 muestras de zooplancton obtenidas frente al litoral peruano entre 03°30’S y 18°20’S, los que se consiguieron durante la realización de 31 cruceros y prospecciones efectuadas por el Instituto del Mar del Perú entre los años 1994 al 2005. Los resultados dan a conocer un total de 41 especies: diecisiete del orden Heteropoda, veintiuno del orden Thecosomata y tres del orden Nudibranchia. En este trabajo se presenta la descripción y distribución de cada una de las especies determinadas y los caracteres diferenciales. ABSTRACT: The main objective of this work is to contribute to the knowledge of the biodiversity of holoplankton mollusks in the Peruvian sea. The material comes from 5,963 samples of zooplankton obtained in front of the Peruvian coast between 03°30’S and 18°20’S, which were obtained during the realization of 31 cruises and surveys carried out by the Instituto del Mar del Peru, between 1994 and 2005. The results reveal a total of 41 species: seventeen of the order Heteropoda, twenty-one of the order Thecosomata and three of the order Nudibranchia. In this work the description and distribution of each one of the determined species and the differential characters are presented.
