| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: In December 2018, as part of the “Adaptation to the Impacts of Climate Change on the Coastal Marine Ecosystem of Peru and its Fisheries” project, a zooplankton sampling was conducted using a Baby Bongo net with a mesh size of 150 μm in the Máncora Pilot Area, between Talara (04°36’S) and Playa Mancora (04°06’S). Zooplankton biovolumes ranged from 8 to 2,541,017 individuals/100 m3. A total of 106 zooplankton species were identified, with the most abundant being Paracalanus sp. (copepodite) with 3,933,197 ind./100 m3 and Oithona similis with 1,611,270 ind./100 m3. Additionally, among the 26 ichthyoplankton species identified, the most abundant was Engraulis ringens with 5,986 eggs/100 m3 and 240,368 larvae/100 m3, with a nearshore distribution, and Vinciguerria lucetia with 5,260 eggs/100 m3 and 2,628 larvae/100 m3, distributed more widely in the evaluated area. | - |
