| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRAC: We evaluated pre-established stations around the Huaura islands (Don Martín, Mazorca, Huampanú, Loberas, and Punta Salinas) which are within the Guano Islands, Islets, and Capes National Reserve System form Peru (RNSIIPG). A total of eight sampling stations were carried out on each of the islands and 15 on Don Martin to determine the population status of the species. Thaisella chocolata was below the Minimum Extraction Size (MES 60 mm PL) in all study areas. It was distributed from 5 to 15 m deep, with the highest abundance index found in Los Islotes (Brava and Quitacalzones) (680.1 ind.m2 ) and the lowest in Don Martin Island (31.6 ind. m2 ). Cheilodactylus variegatus was also below the MES (26 cm TL). The results indicate that measures for the management of the two species should be adopted. | - |
