Evaluación del recurso Lessonia trabeculata Villouta y Santelices, 1986 en la provincia de Ilo, Región Moquegua. Octubre 2015.

Abstract

En octubre 2015 se realizó la evaluación poblacional de Lessonia trabeculata en la zona submareal de la localidad comprendida entre Boca del Río y Punta Coles que corresponde a los subsectores S12A y S12B, frente al litoral de la provincia de Ilo, Región Moquegua. Se aplicó el diseño muestral estratificado, en dos estratos de profundidad, la unidad de muestreo fue de 2 m2. En el S12A la densidad media registrada fue 3,0 ind/ m2 y biomasa media 7,6 kg/m2, en el S12B la densidad media fue de 3,2 ind/m2 y biomasa media 8,6 kg/m2. La biomasa estimada fue 27.353 t (+ 26,1%) para el subsector S12A y de 13.306 t (+ 28,6%) para el subsector S12B. La población estuvo conformada por ejemplares con diámetro mayor del rizoide (DMR) entre 2 y 45 cm, diámetro promedio de 13,5 cm y moda principal en 9 cm, la longitud total varió entre 112 y 258 cm y la longitud promedio fue 166,5 cm. El 40,8% de la población mostró estructuras reproductivas en sus frondas. Las condiciones ambientales fueron cálidas, la temperatura varió entre 15,4 y 19,3 °C con anomalías positivas hasta de +2,0 °C.

ABSTRACT: In October 2015, the population assessment of Lessonia trabeculata was carried out in the subtidal zone of the locality between Boca de Río and Punta Coles: S12A and S12B subsectors, off the coast of the Ilo province, in Moquegua Region. The stratified sample design was applied, in two depth strata, the sampling unit was 2 m2. In S12A the mean recorded density was 3.0 ind/m2 and mean biomass was 7.6 kg/m2, in S12B the mean density was 3.2 ind/m2 and mean biomass was 8.6 kg/m2. The estimated biomass was 27,353 t (±26.1%) for the S12A subsector and 13,306 t (±28.6%) for the S12B subsector. The population consisted of specimens with a major diameter rhizoid (MDR) between 2 and 45 cm, mean diameter of 13.5 cm and main mode in 9 cm. The total length varied between 112 and 258 cm and the mean length was 166.5 cm. 40.8% of the population showed reproductive structures on their fronds. The environmental conditions were warm, the temperature fluctuated between 15.4 and 19.3 °C with positive anomalies up to +2.0 °C.
