| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: The main results of the biological analysis of Peruvian hake Merluccius gayi peruanus are presented in the context of the stock assessment survey in the autumn 2014. The hake presented two differentiated behaviour patterns, the same ones that were geographically located to the northward and southward of 06°S. The population consisted mainly of specimens of ages 2+ and 3+, who dominated in the A, B and C sub-areas. The size range varied between 8 and 78 cm of total length, where greater sizes corresponding to the females. Likewise, males predominated to the northward of 07°S. Reproductive behaviour was characterized by mature and spawning specimens in the southern zone, and either inactive or rest gonadal in the northern zone. | - |
