| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: The results of the main biological characteristics of the Peruvian hake Merluccius gayi peruanus Ginsburg are presented during the survey cruise carried out in autumn 2015. The hake's population structure varied between 4 and 83 cm of total length (TL) with mean value and mode at 29.8 cm and 30 cm LT, respectively. Specimens of the 2+ and 3+ age groups predominated in the study area, representing approximately 80% of the total captured. The sex ratio was 1: 1 between males and females, also a different pattern is observed between the northward and southward areas of the 06°S. A similar behavior was observed in the reproductive condition, with individuals in gonadal rest at northward of 06°S and mature and spawning specimens to the southward. | - |
