Donax obesulus: Bioecología y dinámica poblacional en el litoral de Lambayeque, Perú

Abstract

El IMARPE Santa Rosa, estudió los aspectos bioecológicas y dinámica poblacional de Donax obesulus en el litoral de Lambayeque, entre febrero y diciembre 2006. La estructura por tamaños de la población mostró un rango de 4 a 35 mm de longitud valvar, la talla media varió entre 19,92 y 23,72 mm. Se detectó distribución estratificada por grupos de tallas, los individuos más jóvenes se encontraron en los estratos superiores de la playa y los adultos, en los estratos bajos. Se estimó la talla de primera madurez sexual en 13,93 mm y la talla media de desove en 26 mm. Los parámetros de crecimiento fueron L∞ =36,95 mm y K= 1,37 año-1 para el total de ejemplares; la tasa instantánea de mortalidad total (Z) fue 4,26 año-1 y la mortalidad natural M = 1,79. La densidad media varió entre 29,96 y 189,88 ind./m-2. Los estimados de la población en junio y marzo, fluctuaron entre 84,65±50,44% y 703,98±45,52% millones de ind., respectivamente. La Temperatura superficial del mar (TSM), se situó dentro del rango de los valores normales de aguas costeras frías (ACF).

ABSTRACT: IMARPE Santa Rosa, studied the bio-ecological and population dynamics of Donax obesulus on the coast of Lambayeque aspects, between February and December 2006. The size structure of the population ranged from 4-35 mm valve length. The average size ranged between 19.92 and 23.72 mm. Stratified distribution by size groups was detected, younger individuals were found in the upper strata of the beach and adults in the lower strata. The size of first sexual maturity in 13.93 mm and the average size of spawning was estimated at 26 mm. The growth parameters were L∞ = 36.95 mm and K= 1.37 yr--1 for total individuals; the instantaneous rate of total mortality (Z) was 4.26 year-1 and natural mortality M = 1.79. The average density varied between 29.96 and 189.88 ind./m-2. Estimates of the population (June, March) fluctuated between 84.65±50.44% and 703.98±45.52% million ind. respectively. The sea surface temperature (SST) was within the range of normal values of cold coastal waters (CCW).
